His 35 years as a College President uniquely qualifies him to ensure CARS services are on point. The management team has strong experience working in Admissions or Information Technology for colleges.
Kenneth C. Horne - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Horne is President & Chief Executive Officer of Collegiate Admission and Retention Solutions (CARS). He has 35 years experience managing private post secondary colleges. After studying law, Mr. Horne was the founder and President of several colleges and became passionate about helping individual students achieve success. In 2006 he founded CARS to help other college Presidents improve student service, increase enrollment, and enhance retention. Horne is also President and CEO of PEAC, a student default prevention company.
Mr. Horne's involvement in the post secondary education industry has provided him with a unique perspective. His primary efforts are directed toward creating a process designed to maximize enrollment and successfully support and manage a college's admission and retention initiatives. Mr. Horne's commitment to developing a system to manage the enrollment process from first submission of information, pre-qualification, acceptance, through graduation is shared by the CARS management team.
Mr. Horne received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce & Business Administration from the University of Alabama and a JD Degree from Cumberland School of Law, Samford.
Bibbie J. McLaughlin - Vice President, Admissions & Training
Ms. McLaughlin is the Vice President of Admissions & Training at CARS and has over 35 years of admissions experience working in a College. She is responsible for analyzing client admissions environments and designing best practice processes that meet College's unique cultural needs and enrollment goals. She oversees all CARS admissions agents and training curriculum. She works hands on with clients' Admissions Executives to review individual admissions representatives and create improvement plans that create a high quality and standardized admissions process across the College.
Diane S. Clower - Vice President, Special Projects
Ms. Clower has 38 years experience in post secondary education. As a CARS executive she readily adapts this experience to each clients' particular culture and requirements. Clower began her career in 1970 at Southern Business College, later to become Southern Junior College. Clower has served as an Instructor, Department Chairperson, Academic Dean, Director, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Sr. Vice President of Special Projects for various post secondary institutions.
This vast exposure to the needs of student, faculty, and administration has allowed Clower to direct her talents in effectively enhancing both student outcomes and the goals and desires of the colleges she has served.
Clower attended Auburn University and also received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Birmingham Southern College in Business and Office Education. Clower continued her education with graduate studies at the University of Alabama in Higher Education Administration.
Tami S. Jones - Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Jones has been Chief Operating Officer for CARS since inception in 2006 and is responsible for day-to-day operations. Jones manages approximately 100 employees, including call center personnel, information technology, quality assurance and human resources. Jones reports directly to CARS' CEO, Kenneth C. Horne. Prior to CARS, Jones was Chief Operating Officer of a student default prevention services company. Jones has also served as Regional Operations Manager of a human capital management company.
Ms. Jones is a graduate of the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor Degree in Mass Communications.
Matthew J. Johnner - Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Matt Johnner is Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Collegiate Admission and Retention Solutions (CARS). Johnner is responsible for setting sales and marketing strategy, new sales, business plan development, partnerships, and marketing. Johnner has specialized in business process and information technology outsourcing for 14 years, including 6 years in the post-secondary education industry. Johnner's prior outsourcing experience includes Affiliated Computer Services, Perot Systems Corporation and 2M Investment Group. Johnner is also a Partner and Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Global Financial Aid Services a provider of financial aid administration services and hosted software to Colleges and Universities. Johnner is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
Marc A. Sizemore - Systems Director
Marc Sizemore is Systems Director for CARS' Birmingham, Alabama operations center. His responsibilities include management of all telephony operations including predictive dialers, interactive voice response systems, customer reporting, scripting software, server management, and network management and monitoring. Marc brings 19 years of information technology experience to the team. He has 19 years of post secondary education process experience, including default prevention, financial aid, academic systems and admissions. Mr. Sizemore has a degree in information systems.
Angie M. Carroll - Director, Call Center
Ms. Carroll began her career with the CARS team as a Telephone Service Representative (TSR) and was quickly promoted to Quality Assurance Supervisor. This served as a springboard to Call Center Director, a position she currently holds.
A graduate of the University of Montevallo with a degree in Education, Ms. Carroll supervises approximately 75 employees. Her responsibilities including training new and existing employees on procedures and client campaigns, counsels TSRs, monitors attendance, produces daily statistics, and supervises the daily operations of the call center.
